NFRCNFRC Ratings
NFRC ratings for both non-impact and impact products include U-Factor, SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient), VLT (Visible Light Transmittance) and CR (Condensation Resistance) values for a variety of glass types and divided light options. Scientific Certification Systems ® Indoor Advantage Gold Certification

Eagle windows and doors have recently received Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) Indoor Advantage™ Gold certification for indoor air quality. This level of certification meets North America's strictists indoor air emission criteria, the California Section 01350 Specification. This certification is based upon rigorous, peer-reviewed science and uses the health-based exposure limits required by the state of California for school children. Hurricane South Florida Building Code
Dace County, Florida, experiences some of the most severe hurricanes in the world. Many Eagle products have been specially designed and tested to comply with the South Florida Code. These products, while designed to withstand coastal requirements, are also commonly used to reduce sound transmission or for improved security.





FEMA

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
Eagle windows and doors have also been tested and approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), as flood resistant materials.




ASTM


American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM International)
ASTM International helps develop voluntary standards. Eagle utilizes ASTM's continuing technical education and training programs.

TESTING CRITERIA

Air Infiltration Test
With the unit closed and locked, it should be subjected to an air infiltration test in accordance with ASTM E 283. Products shall be rated on a pass/fail basis in according to the performance levels stipulated in table 2.1 AAMA/NWWDA 101.1.S2-97.

Water Resistance Test
With the unit closed and locked, units shall be subjected to water resistance test in accordance with ASTM E 547. Units shall be tested for four cycles, each cycle consisting of five minutes with pressure applied, and one minute with pressure released during which the water spray is continuously applied. HC windows and doors shall be tested for water resistance in accordance with both ASTM E 547 (four cycles) and ASTM E331. AW windows and doors shall be tested for water resistance in accordance with ASTM E 331. There shall be no leakage as defined in the appropriate test method at the specified test pressure.
