In Severe weather locations, you need an Eagle HarborMaster System.
Hurricanes present unique challenges to buildings. If windows and doors give way during a storm, the structural integrity of the building may be compromised. To meet these needs, Eagle has designed the HarborMaster Systems using monolithic or insulated laminated glass. These products are specifically designed and tested to maintain their ability to keep out water and air even under extreme conditions. They meet the more demanding building codes of many locations. and HarborMaster Systems meet the ASTM protocols of the International Building Code. They both offer superior resistance to wind borne debris.
For example, one group of test include firing a wood 2 x 4 at the window or door numerous times for a cannon at 50 feet per second, and then subjecting it to over 9,000 pressure cycles to simulate sustained high winds.

Options
|
Eagle offers a wide variety of glass options to meet any need, including:
|
Laminated glass
Laminated with a layer of polyvinyl much like a car windshield, most of the glass will remain on the interlayer when broken. Laminated glass also features high sound transmission class ratings. (STC), keeping more of the outside noise outside. And it screens out virtually all of the sun's damaging rays, helping to protect floor coverings, drapes and furnishings. Eagle's monolithic and insulated glass options are also used for security purposes. Learn More...
|
Safety glass
Heat-treated to break into small beads rather than shards, tempered safety glass meets may building code requirements.
|
Spandrel panels
Dark tints are used in situations where it is desirable to block visibility from the exterior.
|
Special glass tints
Glass is available with green, bronze, gray or reflective tints to reduce the amount of light allowed into the room for aesthetic reasons.
